Personal Branding Project

Branding Booklet

Passion Project

This project has shifted and grown over the past few years, much like I have as both a designer and a person. I spent a long time trying to create something that felt authentic to me while also aligning perfectly with the work I was doing; and for a while, I couldn’t quite get it right. Eventually, I realized those two goals didn’t need to be at odds. I could embrace the chaos of my current stage in life and still produce thoughtful, professional design.

Once I leaned into the idea that my brand could be dark, whimsical, and a little imperfect, everything clicked. This brand book became an outlet to blend the things I love with the skills I bring to my work; resulting in a piece that feels both deeply personal and a strong reflection of my design abilities.

Details & Process

This section showcases my personal branding journey, starting with earlier attempts at defining myself through portfolio projects, logos, and resumes. While none of those iterations ever felt quite right, together they represent my growth and evolution as a designer.

For my current brand, I decided to start completely fresh. I began by writing down words that reflected my personality, then pushed those ideas further by exploring how they could translate into colors, sketches, and symbols. The messy stack of papers from those early days is an honest snapshot of my process—filled with word associations, scribbles, logo drafts, and notes.

From there, the ideas developed into something more structured: a brand book that captures who I am as both a person and a designer, page by page.

Applied

  • My logo and branding style was used to design this portfolio website.

  • Since I was pregnant with my first son in 2018, I started dabbling in photography. Mostly self taught. My branding was applied to a secondary website for my photography business/hobby.

  • These business cards are more specifically for my photography side but the branding is all the same.
